Each year when they days become shorter, the nights start getting cooler and water temps drop, brown trout that spend the summer month chasing baitfish in the Great Lakes will migrate into river system to spawn. This is where their feeding habits will change. Although brown trout will still bite lures , spoons, and spinners , King salmon and coho salmon are spawning this time of year, sending  eggs drifting down current.
